In May 2013, MS Cyrano de Bergerac became CroisiEurope’s second ship to offer cruises on the Gironde, Garonne and Dordogne Rivers in the Bordeaux Region. The ship joins MS Princess D’Aquitaine, which was built in 2001 and refurbished in 2011; together, the two ships provide our passengers more opportunities to visit and appreciate Bordeaux. CroisiEurope has been leading river cruises in the Bordeaux region since 2011.

Our new ship offers cruises lasting from 5 to 8 nights in the renowned Bordeaux area of France, which is celebrated for its wines, its history and its beauty. Excursions from the ship include guided tours of medieval sites, visits to prestigious vineyards – including wine tastings – and many opportunities to revel in the gorgeous scenery.

Slightly larger than the Princess D’Aquitaine, the Cyrano de Bergerac is 110 meters long by 11.4 meters wide (361 ft. by 37 ft.), and accommodates 180 passengers in cabins on three decks. The ship’s spacious restaurant can serve all passengers in a single sitting; its galley kitchens are furnished with top-of-the-line utensils and equipment to help our chefs prepare CroisiEurope’s famous French meals. The ship has a roomy, comfortable lounge bar with a dance floor, and a more intimate piano bar. The sun deck is more than 1,000 square meters (10,764 sq. ft.). Each cabin is equipped with a shower and toilet, flat screen television, hairdryer, safe, radio and individually controlled air-conditioning and heating. The latest marine and navigation technology ensures our passengers’ comfort and safety.

This ship was designed and built by CroisiEurope’s team at the Sambre & Meuse shipyard. After construction, our teams at Strasbourg’s River Station spent three months equipping, furnishing and decorating the ship to provide an elegant and comfortable home for our passengers. The ship is run by a highly qualified and experienced crew of 30.
