Odyssey on the Nile: Follow the Wind and Visit Legendary Sites on an Immersive Cruise (port-to-port cruise)

Cruise

LUXOR - EL HEGZ - ELKAB - FAWAZA - BASSAW - GEBEL SILSILEH - BESHIR - KOM OMBO - HERDIAB - ASWAN

Discover Egypt in a different manner on an exclusive journey combining luxury and history. You'll begin your adventure at the sumptuous Winter Palace Luxor—made famous by Agatha Christie and Howard Carter—a veritable castle tucked in between Egyptian treasures. Then follow the winds on an unforgettable cruise to discover the Nile on board an elegant dahabeah—a 19th-century sailboat where each element of decor has been chosen with care from around the world. Our attentive crew will welcome you before you settle into your tastefully outfitted, but practical, cabin. Admire the scenery as you relax under the unfurled sails topside. The cradle of all civilizations—ancient Egypt—has fascinated humankind forever. From the beginning of time, adventurers, diplomats, writers, and painters have all drawn inspiration from the fertile banks of the Nile. From Luxor to Aswan, the Nile snakes its way through valleys lined with majestic temples, necropolises, pyramids, and lively villages. Your vacation will wrap in style at the luxurious Old Cataract Aswan, where colonial elegance rubs shoulders with the magic of the Nile. An unforgettable experience is on the horizon!

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION :

SHIP

  • The captain is the sole authority entitled to modify the ship’s itinerary for safety and navigation reasons.
  • The ship holds a 5-anchor classification, awarded in accordance with the local standards and practices in force at the destination.
  • There is no heating on board.
  • The ship’s restaurant serves all meals in a single sitting for all passengers. Meals are offered as a buffet featuring largely international dishes (fried food, steamed vegetables, meats in sauce or grilled meats) with a few touches of local inspiration. Some dinners will be served plated. As the ship does not belong to the CroisiEurope fleet, the table setting and cuisine are not comparable to those standards.
  • The number of docking spaces on the Nile is limited, and boats may be moored side by side.

EXCURSIONS

  • The itinerary, stopovers, or visits may be modified by the shipowner or our local representatives if necessary.
  • Excursions and visits may be adjusted, reversed, or replaced due to technical requirements, local events, or decisions by the authorities, as some sites may occasionally be closed. In such cases, alternatives will be offered to preserve the sightseeing program.
  • Excursions are conducted by a English-speaking Egyptologist guide and take place alternately in air-conditioned coaches or small local boats. Audio guides are provided for greater comfort during visits. To fully enjoy the sites, the program includes a sustained pace with early departures.
  • Frequent traffic congestion in Luxor and Cairo, due to heavy traffic or religious events, may disrupt the schedule of certain excursions.
  • Some optional excursions may be sold directly on board by the ship’s crew. As CroisiEurope has chosen not to include them in its official program, it declines all responsibility regarding pricing or the quality of the services provided locally.
  • In Egypt, it is customary to cover your shoulders, head and knees while visiting religious sites.
